Sorry but this whole video is completely misguided. There are no universal altissimo fingerings that work on every sax. They're harmonics and so they're going to be different depending on tone hole placement, key opening height, and all kinds of other factors that can vary on any given saxophone. Are there some that work on many saxes? Sure, but there is no "best" fingering for all saxes. Sadly, you just have do the work of fingerings that work for your saxophone. I've been playing for 30 years now and I've tried a lot of saxes along the way.

This is an aha! moment for me; the best explanation on RUclips about how to solo on the ii-v-i; no complicated explanations on what scales to use on what chords.

I have found that saying the word "Who" creates the right shape for your embouchure.

I can’t get the g out it just makes a weird sound

Played my first real sax until until my bottom lip was soar lalala haha Relax, or position, to not drive your bottom teeth into your lip. :)

I couldn't get the G sharp with anything taught on videos or on the charts. but I managed to get it with pressing 2 keys, the very top one and the lower side key. that is the only thing that works for me for G sharp on my Alto sax. how is that possible?

Hi Ed, I inherited a 110 year old Buescher alto sax, and since I recently retired and have some time, so I thought why not learn it? I'm a 66 year old beginner and have watched a few guys on RUclips teaching Embouchure. I became quite frustrated because I wasn't getting the same sound as the first guy I was trying to duplicate. Needless to say I began listening to a few more Embouchure videos and I found of the 6 videos maybe 2 sounded the same as each other. So I believe my sound is closest to yours in this video. So I guess my question is, as a beginner, should I be able to duplicate any of these guys or am I okay?
